Well, I recall an old piece of modal logic I might not be recalling exactly right:

1. God cannot be surpassed by any being.

2. If God exists only in the mind of man, then man can think of a being greater than God.

3. However, this contradicts the first argument.

4. Therefore, God exists.

Bye.

And since they have no evidence at all, they have no basis, no?

If you accept the first, which is a very big assumption. Hence, no, your argument is flawed in the biggest way possible - the very first thing you do is assume. Then apparently the fact that you can assume something that contradicts the atheist position means that an atheist is now wrong. Excuse me, but where did you get this massively flawed logic from?

It isn't flawed logic, it's modal logic. Now, I ask you a question. Is it at all sensible to do something without purpose?

Not true, but I'm done with the argument. Aramir shall carry on from here I believe. :P

No. In the last two hours I've decided I no longer care what she thinks. Therefore I am unfollowing.

It isn't modal, however, because it requires an assumption about God that is necessary to believe he exists in the first place - flawed and circular.

They have neither, so in this case the terms are fairly interchangeable.

How can one say that God exists when he can't answer the question what do you believe he is?
